A Guide to Formation and Ministry within the Independent Sacramental Tradition is an official formation booklet produced by the Apostolic Old Catholic Mission.
It offers a clear and accessible framework for those discerning formation, ordination, ministry, or incardination within the Mission and the wider independent sacramental tradition.
The booklet covers vocation, discernment, formation pathways, mentorship, safeguarding, the Daily Office, SacraLoci, learning expectations, practical assessment, continuing formation, and the responsibilities of ministry.
It is intended for postulants, candidates, clergy, mentors, and those seeking to understand the Mission’s approach to serious, prayerful, accountable formation.
This resource is not a shortcut to ordination or incardination. It reflects the Mission’s commitment to safeguarding, honest discernment, theological depth, pastoral maturity, and servant-hearted ministry.
